KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT/PORTAL DEVELOPMENT PROCESS
Knowledge Management can be defined as the processes to collect an organization's learnings, and then make these available to others on a "Just-In-Time" basis. We have advised on countless KM initiatives and enterprise-class portals: successful ones have one thing in common: strong process.

WEB OUTSOURCING
Our offshore development staff can either supplement or completely take over web application development and web content management, freeing internal resources for higher-value-added activities. Beyond standard web programming, we have a specialty in both Wordpress (for Social Media) and SharePoint (for Portals). Each project is managed by a project manager based in North America.

IDENTIFY: Usability Testing that puts the users first
Usability testing for applications and web sites can mean the difference between commercial success and failure, yet most testing results never get properly documented, let alone addressed. Pinetree IDENTIFY is used at the 60-80% completion stage, and consistently identifies and captures real-world issues at a time when something might be done about it. IDENTIFY categorizes these issues, (errors, training, next version, data, etc), and then assigns them to a specific individual for action. IDENTIFY can be implemented using mostly internal resources.

IT COUNSEL
Sometimes it is useful to bounce ideas around with an objective outsider. Do we have the right people managing the right things? How does the department become more business (and user) focussed? Are we using an appropriate development methodology? How do we become more strategically important within the organization?

PREP: Project Risk Assessment
Pinetree Risk Evaluation Process (PREP) is a Project Review and risk management framework that is used to measure and evaluate project risk, using variables from that particular project to guide the analysis itself. PREP objectively reports the status to project sponsors, while identifying risks and risk mitigation tactics to project managers.
